Suoni di carta aims to stimulate the imagination and at the same time activate the musical and motor skills of children, offering fun educational paths for making music by playing with paper.
This book not only breaks away from conventional musical education schemes, offering a fun alternative to the usual classroom activities, but aims to involve all children, even the less motivated ones, in educational and recreational rhythmic activities.
At the beginning, an excursus traces the history of paper, and then continues with practical-theoretical insights. In the second part of the book there are indications, descriptions and illustrations of all the possible activities to be carried out with paper: hitting, bursting, butting, tugging, crumpling, tearing, crumpling, blowing, shaking, rubbing, etc. All these actions, if guided in an organized manner, create amazing rhythmic-musical effects. The objects taken into consideration belong to everyday life (sheets, boxes, boxes, tubes, toy cubes, books, bags, cardboard corners, crumpled paper, rattles) and if used in an unconventional way, make the exercises fun and stimulating.
The enclosed DVD is the result of a year of activity in the context of a school's music laboratory and aims to offer a practical demonstration of the activities described in the book.
