In today's society and school, different customs, traditions, sounds, songs, dances, languages and cultures mix. Radici in tasca aims to be a guide for all teachers, educators, entertainers or therapists who live the experience of immigration and multicultural integration on a daily basis (in the most varied social contexts).
This book offers numerous operational ideas to educate about coexistence and respect for diversity, through group sound and rhythmic improvisations, games of movement and bodily interaction, collective graphic representations, use of the word for the creation of texts and stories.
A first part in which the theoretical and pedagogical approach of reference is illustrated, is followed by a second part in which the author retraces, by way of demonstration, her personal experience as a border psychologist, carried out in primary schools on the outskirts of Turin, characterized by a high presence of students belonging to different cultural areas.
The proposed workshop involves various types of expressive languages and is set up as an imaginary journey in several stages (living, leaving, travelling, meeting, returning), thanks to which the child puts aside his natural distrust towards diversity in favor of curiosity and exchange, to weave new relationships.
With attention to the smallest details (photographic, pictorial, graphic, textual), Radici in tasca is a fundamental aid in any educational and didactic field.
